It’s finally October, a month I look forward to every year for one reason. Halloween. It’s just such an amazing celebration of life and death and remembrance. Known to the Pagans as Samhain or All Hallows Eve, it is the night when the veils between the world of the living and the dead is at it’s thinnest and the dead walk the Earth. We light candles at our windows to guide their way, and leave scary carved pumpkins at our doors to scare them away from coming inside our houses. We decorate our houses, we dress as ghouls and ghosts, we trick and treat, and light bonfires, we drink and dance to commemorate the day. I love it! Speaking of pumpkin carving, and Villafane Studios take the art to a whole new level! In fact they’re more like pumpkin sculptures. Every year they bring us a whole new series of wonderful designs, some gruesome, some funny, but all just right for Halloween.
