In every corner of every brain their lurks, in a corner, a kind of dark creature ready to spring forth at a moments notice. Devoted to it’s task, it helps you say the wrong thing at the wrong time, have nightmares about Zombies and generally makes you feel a bit ooky when you least expect it. Located in Hamburg, Germany, Matthias Seifarth doesn’t mind getting his mind a little bit sullied with these slightly disturbing thoughts – from which emerge a homicidal Princess Leia or an aged Wilma Flintstone & Betty Rubble, amongst other strange occurrences. “I want to devote myself to poster art, cover design and editorial illustration,” he is quoted as saying. “Inspiration comes to me from the oddities of everyday life, strange characters I see on the street, that have unusual, also macabre undertones. I want my work to be an elemental way for musicians and publishers to set themselves apart from the mass.”
