Anyone who references A Nightmare on Elm St in their biography has got to be pretty OK as far as I’m concerned and as Robert Bowen is the self-confessed bastard son of 1000 maniacs, you can see what I mean. His art is a mixture of realism and the fantastical where wasps with elephant heads shoot fire and time flies literally! Based in San Francisco, Robert says he watched way to much TV growing up, and now he finds himself to be a connoisseur of ‘bad habits and collector of all things wrong’. He sounds like my type-a-guy!
Happy Monday! There’s nothing better to cheer up the Monday blues than with a sexy as damn pinup, and these ones from Japanese artist ONEQ are just the ticket! Manga meets 1920′s advertising meets American western meets kickarse beauty…
Based in Germany, Ramona Ring creates amazing fantasy worlds in muted tones, where fish swim through your bedroom and foxes kidnap your bed to make it their new home in a butterfly strewn enchanted forest. We love it!
Everybody loves robots right? Well Dave and Greg of Creature Box sure do and not only that but they can sure as hell draw them too! That’s not all they have up their silky sleeves though and these guys are pretty amazing character creators for games and comics! Is there anything they can’t do?

CEPHALOPODOPTERA is a new series of animated illustration from Vladimir Stankovic that are just simply fantastical. Like magical features living in the deep sea they flash and glitter with their own luminescence.
Stumbling across the work of Denis Madria had us geeking out like a muthabitch! Not only do we love the concept of Star Wars characters as High School students, but his Steampunkesque Justice League is simply amazing! Based in Italy, Denis describes himself as a Freelance comic artist and he is currently accepting commissions y’all!
Devin Clark works on one of our favourite shows here over at Nobody – Ugly Americans. We discovered it late one night on TV and haven’t stopped watching it. Essentially the premise of the show is that the main character, Mark works at the Department of Immigration (DOI) with a hoary old wizard named Leonard, and together they “help” mutants assimilate into life in New York City. The DOI also happens to be run by Demons who are branching out from Hell and trying to bring on the End of Days. Oh and did I mention that Mark’s roommate is a zombie called Randall? Love it. Aside from Ugly Americans Devin’s portfolio is filled to the brim with satirical illustration goodness… just the sort we love!
The work of Jon Reinfurt is amazing – fact! His website is like a candy store of colourful goodness and vintage style – we were instantly addicted! From his Ice Cream robots to a dragon smoking a ham it was just one delightful illustration after another. Gush!
