Catch me a Dandy Lion

So we’ve been a bit quiet for a while on the Nobody front, but we’re bck blogging with a’vengence! I mean how could we resist when we come across the likes of skills, such as Cory Godbey possesses!

We were sold the minute we saw a fox in a suit, but then our eyeballs were hit with a bear at a desk with a kitty underneath and forget about it – we were gone!!

In the Summertime

It must be summer. I’m obsessed with images of water, the beach, sand and good times. The beer weather is here and it’s at times like this I am just so Thankful to live in Australia. Mark Tipple is another Australian whose work has captured our attention of late. This Sydney based photographer’s amazing underwater series personifies our wonderful beaches in the summer. Love it!

Water wonderland

Jellyfish are cool. They are amazingly diverse and when floating in their watery world they are creatures of graceful beauty. Alexander Semenov, who is the Head of the Scientific Divers team White Sea Biological Station in Russia has been capturing these amazing animals as well as other sea beauties through his camera lens for a while and has produced a number of gorgeous photographic series. Launching tomorrow night – TEES: Exposing Melbourne’s T-shirt culture

Just as yesterday was the 12-12-12, TEES: Exposing Melbourne’s T-shirt culture is the sort of event that only comes around once in a life time… or… maybe twice but only if you’re lucky! Tomorrow night will see the T-shirt world’s answer to David Attenborough – Melbourne’s own Eddie Zammit – joining forces with Just Another Agency, the NGV and his own T-world to present TEES: Exposing Melbourne’s T-shirt culture. This amazing exhibition will not only examine and dissect the last 25 years of the city’s T-loving graphics, but it will show off some of the most amazing wearable cotton treats as seen through the eyes of an obsessive T-shirt collector. With Eddie digging into his own 4,500+ strong TEE collection, this show will exhibit the true power of Melbourne’s T-shirt past, present and future.

TEES: Exposing Melbourne’s T-shirt culture will be on display at NGV Studio (Federation Square) from 7 December 2012 to 17 February 2013. Opening night is 14 December 2012 – see you there!
